Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug control systems for end of line packaging equipment
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, and motion control systems
  • Develop electrical layouts and detailed schematics using CAD software
  • Integrate sensors, pneumatics, and vision systems into automation solutions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, project, and build teams
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Support on-site debugging and system startup as needed (travel ~25%)

Requirements

  • We’re seeking an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering high-quality automation solutions. Our ideal candidate has 5-10 years of controls experience in the automation industry. Direct packaging equipment experience is preferred.
  • Experience with electrical design software, PLCs, HMIs, robots, motion control, pneumatics, and vision systems
  • Proven ability to produce electrical layouts and detailed schematics using CAD tools
  • Excellent communication skills to understand customer needs and coordinate solutions
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Professional presence with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction

  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent applicable work experience
  • At least 5 years of Controls Engineering experience in automation
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25%
