Driver Associate

No Experience Necessary. Company Vehicle Provided! No CDL Required!

We offer great pay, full benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and Overtime. Approximate hours are 10:10 am to 8:40 pm. Shifts range between 10-12 hours per day and shifts are available 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times
• Use a handheld device for routing information, customer delivery information

Navigate a variety of routes throughout delivery area

• Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions. Load and unload packages to be delivered
• Be CUSTOMER OBSESSED!! We strive to deliver packages and smiles to our customers

Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
• Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs through your shift
• A typical day for an Acme Freight DA involves delivering more than 200 packages to homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Packages can weigh up to 50 lbs., although most only weigh a few pounds.
• Delivery Associates will need to carry these up and downstairs, communicate with customers, operate a smartphone that includes a scanner, GPS, and camera.
• DAs drive our delivery van to drop off Amazon packages to customers within our community.
• You will spend 90% of your shift driving/delivering and 10% of your shift in a warehouse.
• We provide Driver Associates with vehicles, uniforms, and all the necessary technical training to deliver smiles to exceed Amazon's expectations.

Requirements

• Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED
• A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more
• A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education
• A job for which all ages, including older job seekers, are encouraged to apply
• Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma
• Eligible to work in the U.S
• At least 21 years of age

Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test

• Must have a clean motor vehicle report (Multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
• Must be comfortable operating and navigating a delivery van, (Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter size)
