Responsibilities

• Could we improve accessibility for people with visual or hearing impairments too?
• To explore this, several research areas are available: Lip-syncing: Supporting lip-readers during audio calls using virtual avatars.
• Enhancing speech-to-text accuracy in noisy environments.
• Generating speech in resource-constrained environments.
• Creating natural rhythm and intonation in generated speech.
• Developing a lightweight ML model that predicts natural prosody from text at minimal runtime cost.
• Building a real-time speech analysis pipeline to drive expressive live avatars.
• Implementing robust call transcription or automatic language detection to allow instant responses in the speaker's language.

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• When the thesis proposal states that it includes two students working together, we would like you to apply in pairs.
