Senior Frontend Engineer, Consumer Alliance

This role is part of HelloFresh’s New Ventures Tribe, where we build and scale new business models. You’ll work directly on The Pets Table, a fast-growing US-based pet-food brand that delivers personalized feeding plans to dog owners. Primary responsibility centers on enhancing active user experiences to improve customer retention. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and fast iteration while leveraging HelloFresh’s global infrastructure.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will contribute to key initiatives across the customer-facing web application, working with a modern React / Next.js / TypeScript stack. You will integrate with our CMS, leverage experimentation frameworks, and utilize GenAI tools (such as Claude, Cursor, Figma, and Contentful MCPs) to accelerate architecture, design, and testing workflows. Working alongside machine learning, product, and design experts, you will deliver high-quality frontend solutions, contribute to architectural improvements, and support the evolution of the platform across scalability, observability, and AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do: The Recipe

• Design, build, and optimize customer-facing applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Participate in frontend architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and platform scalability.
• Support improvements in production monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional partners to prototype, iterate, and deliver seamless user experiences.
• Utilize modern AI tools and workflows to enhance engineering efficiency, code quality, and standards.
• Ability to lead complex projects end-to-end—translating vision into structured implementation plans and guiding teams through execution to successful delivery.
• Build and operate modern systems at a global scale, supporting 6+ million customers and complex supply chain operations.
• Drive decisions from problem definition to production, improving systems and enabling long-term scalability.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript (ideally Next.js), with a strong track record of delivering production-grade frontend applications, architectural design, and performance optimizations.
• Proactive, autonomous mindset with strong communication skills to explain complex technical decisions, share knowledge, and drive results across domains.
• Hands-on experience leveraging modern AI tools and workflows (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to increase development speed and elevate technical standards.
• Practical familiarity with setting up and maintaining monitoring and observability frameworks in production environments.
• Strong product and design judgment with the ability to independently prototype and iterate on coherent, high-quality customer experiences.
• Access to the workspace at Warsaw Centre Point.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with backend services and APIs (e.g., Node.js, GraphQL, REST, or serverless architectures) to collaborate effectively across the full stack.
• Hands-on experience building cross-platform mobile apps with React Native, including native module integrations, performance optimization, and mobile rendering patterns.
