Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager

Join Freyssinet Australia, a leading company in structural remedial works. We are expanding our Victorian remedial business and seeking experienced engineers and project managers to take ownership of complex structural projects. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will have full technical ownership of projects on-site, while as a Project Manager, you will manage the full project lifecycle, including safety, program, cost, client, and team.

Senior Project Engineer

You'll take full technical ownership of structural remedial projects on site — reading and interrogating engineering designs, resolving technical issues in real time, managing subcontractors, and driving program and quality from the ground up. You'll work closely with the PM and report directly into state leadership.

Responsibilities

• You'll own the full project lifecycle safety, program, cost, client, and team. You'll be commercially accountable for projects up to $10M+, managing the SPE and site teams beneath you while maintaining direct client and consultant relationships.
• Delivering structural remedial works across VIC — concrete repair, steel strengthening, building and infrastructure assets
• Managing program, cost control, subcontractor performance, and quality outcomes
• Engaging clients and consultants with technical credibility
• Identifying and managing risk before it becomes a problem
• Driving a zero-harm safety culture
• Accurate reporting, forecasting, and variation management
• Commercially astute contracts, claims, cost management
• Strong communicator at all levels client, consultant, and site

Requirements

• Senior Project Engineer

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 5+ years in construction, with on-site delivery experience in civil, remedial, or structural works
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Organised, technically sharp, and ready to step up commercially
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 8+ years in construction, with proven PM or senior site leadership experience
• Track record delivering projects $5M–$10M+
