CAD Engineer Associate (Winter 2027)

Join Astranis, a leading satellite technology company, as a CAD Engineer Associate. In this role, you will work on complex projects, model and draw components for spacecraft, and maintain our design library. This is a twelve-week salaried position for new graduates. Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for spacecraft and its supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure, ensuring efficient design practices.
• Develop, ideate, and document considerate practices that enable good and efficient design.

Requirements

• Has a passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on development
• Experience with SolidWorks
• Hold a four-year B.S. degree or currently pursuing a M.S. in either mechanical, aerospace, or an equivalent technical degree like physics, applied math, or industrial design
• Experience with surface modeling
• Experience in the design of spaceflight components and/or vacuum compatible systems
• Experience with design of complex assemblies and components

Preferred

• Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings
