Engineering Lead - Embedded Solutions

As an Engineering Lead in the embedded finance team, you will play a crucial role in building the world's best embedded finance platform for partners like Google, Deel, Ramp, and Agoda. This hands-on role involves designing, developing, and maintaining the team's services, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the team’s services, while ensuring high quality and scalability.
• Mentoring and supporting engineers in the team, driving their growth and development.
• Collaborating with teams across Wise to deliver real impact and expand the functionality offered to partners.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing relational databases.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience of Java (or similar stacks).
• Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Product mindset — you think about customer impact, not just technical implementation.
• Following and advocating best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviews.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams and stakeholders.

Pay

GBP 105,000 - 135,000
