Senior Software Engineer (Developer Productivity)

Join our cross-functional infrastructure team as a Senior Software Engineer (Developer Productivity). You will work closely with engineers to enhance workflows and pipelines, write common tools, and provide development best practices. Your focus will be on designing and building scalable internal tools that improve our engineers' ability to write, test, and release software. You should have experience in Go, Python, or C++, continuous deployment and integration practices, Terraform, and cloud platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Identifying areas for enhancement in engineering workflows and pipelines to lower developer cognitive load.
• Designing and building scalable internal tools that enhance engineers' abilities to write, test, and release software.
• Re-architecting build and compute infrastructure to provide developers with a delightful experience.

Requirements

• Can write and test software in Go, Python, or C++
• Prior experience implementing Continuous Deployment and Continuous Integration practices
• Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions
• Prior experience writing and maintaining Terraform
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
• Prior experience using Bazel
• Understand cloud platforms architecture, especially networking, security, storage, and resilient application topologies
