Software Engineering Summer 2027 Internship (MS, Behavior Test)

Waymo's Systems Engineering team as a Software Engineering Summer Intern in 2027.

Responsibilities

• You'll design and implement metrics, test plans, and simulated scenarios for testing autonomous vehicles in off-nominal situations.
• You'll also create dashboards to monitor and analyze fleet-wide autonomous vehicle fault rates, support the Verification and Validation of Fault Protection and Remote Assistance behaviors, and build automated pipelines using Python and SQL.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm to understand a complex system and its various components

Experience with data analysis/modeling using Python and SQL

• Currently enrolled in a MS program in an engineering, computer science, or a related technical field of study
• Comfortable with ambiguous problems in a fast paced environment

Preferred

• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle technology and systems engineering principles
