Software Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5 to 6 developers, overseeing their delivery, quality, and day-to-day priorities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to scope, plan, and deliver software that meets high reliability standards.
• Coach and grow your developers, helping them build skills, navigate challenges, and plan their career progression.

Requirements

• Experience with technical design, problem-solving, and project management (Jira experience preferred)
• 4+ years of software development management experience, with a track record of leading teams that ship
• Excellent communication: you can carry a tradeoff conversation with an engineer and a non-technical stakeholder equally well
• Comfort partnering with Recruiting and other managers to hire and scale the org
• A genuine interest in hiring, coaching, and developing engineers, not just directing them
• A strong technical foundation: system design, computer science fundamentals, modern web technologies
