Staff Robotics Software Engineer

Join our team as a Staff Robotics Software Engineer, where you will design and implement hard real-time algorithms, application logic, and state machines for the Telos robotic platform. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop software solutions based on clinical and user requirements. This role requires proficiency in C++ and Python, experience in robotics and state-machine design, and a strong background in object-oriented programming and software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribuer à la conception et au développement de l'infrastructure de la logique d'application et des algorithmes de la plateforme robotique Telos.
• Collaborer avec une équipe interfonctionnelle pour mettre en œuvre et tester la logique, les algorithmes et les solutions logicielles en fonction des exigences cliniques et des utilisateurs.
• Participer aux discussions de conception et aux revues de code, et contribuer au développement de l'environnement de test et de simulation du logiciel.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-threaded applications and event driven architectures
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience with real-time software applications
• Experience in algorithm development for robotics operation
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and 6+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 5+ years of controls, robotics, and state-machine experience
• Proficiency with C++ and Python
• Strong background in object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
• Experience in robotic control, real-time state-machine design
• Experience with ROS

Preferred

• Experience developing software for safety-critical applications
• Experience with QNX/Realtime Operation Systems
