Join our Payments Performance team as a Staff Engineer (Java). In this role, you will design and evolve systems that optimize payment performance, including payment routing, fraud prevention, and anomaly detection. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead the technical architecture and design of Java-based projects, and optimize application performance. This position requires a strong strategic mindset, in-depth knowledge of Java development frameworks, and experience with cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborer avec les leaders technologiques et l'équipe produit pour comprendre les objectifs et les exigences du département, en les traduisant en solutions techniques.
  • Concevoir, développer et maintenir des applications et des systèmes Java de haute qualité, alignés sur les objectifs commerciaux.
  • Diriger l'architecture technique et la conception de projets basés sur Java, en garantissant l'évolutivité, la performance et la maintenabilité.

Requirements

High-level project management skills

  • Experience with Java development frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
  • In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (desired)
  • Experience with monitoring applications in production using telemetry tooling such as Newrelic, Datadog, Grafana + Prometheus, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, distributed logs like ELK, etc
  • Ability to solve complex software system issues
  • Solid experience in Java application development and software architecture
  • Well-versed in the software development life cycle
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
  • Event-driven architecture design experience
  • Upper-intermediate written and spoken English proficiency

Ability to write clean, efficient, and readable code

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Java development
  • Being a team player, enjoying working with your own team and collaborating with other teams in the organization
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
