Lead Software Engineer (Product Reliability Engineering)

Join Haddock, an AI-first company, as the first hire in our new Product Reliability Engineering team. In this hands-on role, you'll lead two engineers and a rotating product engineer, focusing on improving product reliability and reducing bug inflow. You'll set the triage policy, severity model, metrics, and standards, and use AI daily to diagnose and build tooling. Lead the establishment and development of a permanent Product Reliability Engineering team, including managing and mentoring engineers.

👉 Fluent in Spanish and comfortable in English. We tend to speak Spanish at the office and in Slack, and write documentation and projects in English

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions, automations, and processes that improve the reliability of the product, with a focus on reducing the inflow of bugs.
• Act as the technical escalation layer for triage, reproduction, diagnosis, and resolution of issues escalated from the Customer Experience team.
• 👉 You've owned a bug backlog, either for your squad, or for the entire engineering team at your previous company

Requirements

• 👉 5+ years of engineering experience, at least some of it in a SaaS startup or scale up
• 👉 You debug code you didn't write, fast
• 👉 You think in systems and processes, not only individual tickets
• 👉 You've mentored or led at least 2 engineers. Management experience isn't required

Pay

EUR 50,000 - 70,000
