Waymo, a leader in autonomous driving technology, as a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to implement and scale Waymo's Marketplace Platform and Infrastructure. You will develop ML infrastructure for real-time decision-making, experimentation, monitoring, and analysis. Additionally, you will create simulation infrastructure for marketplace optimization and ML model development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to implement and scale Waymo’s Marketplace Platform and Infrastructure.
  • Develop ML infrastructure for automatically training and deploying sophisticated optimization and prediction ML models.
  • Develop experimentation, monitoring and analysis infrastructure for analyzing ongoing deployed models.

Requirements

3+ years of experience building productionized ML models

  • 6+ years of experience programming in backend coding languages
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in C++

Preferred

Technical leader experience

  • 5+ years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning)
  • Prior experience building and deploying various ML models such as reinforcement learning
