Software Engineer (Vehicle Test)

Join our rapidly-growing team as a Software Engineer (Vehicle Test) and play a pivotal role in ensuring our aerospace systems are mission-ready. In this role, you will design the end-to-end software architecture used to validate hardware at the integrated vehicle levels, support our major HITL testbed infrastructure for flight validation, and gain unique insight into the entire hardware lifecycle. You will also assist in recruiting and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end software architecture for hardware validation and testing.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to create software testing infrastructure based on testing and production needs.
• Support all phases of development from initial proposal development through successful test and flight, and guide large test campaigns.

Requirements

3+ years total of relevant professional experience

• Strong proficiency in Python (or other high-level object oriented scripting language(s))
• A passion for building things, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Experience designing software systems and test architectures/tooling/frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent background knowledge)
• Experience with Linux and shell command line tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Embedded systems experience
• Experience working with relational or time series databases

Preferred

• Experience mentoring junior engineers
