Responsibilities

• Lead a team focused on performance optimization and architecture improvements for Roblox across all platforms.
• Drive research and strategy for performance optimization opportunities, regression defense, and architecture improvements.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Experience solving difficult problems involving both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
• 8+ years of experience building large client applications with a deep technical expertise in at least one of the client platforms - Android, iOS, Windows, or MacOS
• Team Oriented: You are constantly looking at how to make the team stronger – both the team you directly manage, and the team of peers you collaborate with
• 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager or tech lead manager
• Proactive: You operate with a sense of urgency, initiating conversations and workflow that pushes product strategy and the team forward
• Solution Oriented: You start with the problem to be solved, and stay laser-focused on getting it solved. You can tackle anything that comes your way, whether it’s a technical problem, a business problem, or a people problem
