Engineering Lead

Join the Engineering Management Centre of Excellence as an Engineering Lead. In this role, you will manage a multidisciplinary engineering team and oversee the delivery of engineering services for a large project under the GTAA project. You will serve as the client interface, manage design consultancy agreements, facilitate design reviews, and provide technical assistance to delivery teams. Additionally, you will coach and mentor GTAA staff and support their career development.

Responsibilities

• Coordonner et superviser la mise en œuvre des normes de conception multidisciplinaires, travailler en collaboration avec l'entrepreneur principal et superviser les services de pré-construction.
• Servir d'interface client à plusieurs niveaux et à toutes les phases, fournir des conseils techniques, des orientations et une expertise en matière de développement de la conception.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience using AutoCAD & Revit (MicroStation is an asset) /BIM/Civil 3D design software & Experience in Microsoft Office software
• Recognized degree in engineering or architecture. Relevant professional designation is considered an asset
• Demonstrable experience in performing design reviews and facilitating design coordination activities
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting/workshops with large groups of stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in large capital programs in a role related to planning, development, engineering and/or architecture
• Good working knowledge of program development including scope finalization, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk assessments
• Strong technical capability in all project phases and ability to solve complex problems including by using data analytics to support solution identification
