Staff Android Engineer (In-Car Experience)

Join our team as a Staff Android Engineer focused on enhancing the in-car experience of our autonomous vehicles. You will work on projects such as the Pick Ups and Drop Offs (PUDO) experience and infotainment during passenger trips. Your role will involve creating reliable Android components, building features within the in-car interface, and managing the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, Product Managers, and Vehicle Software Engineers to launch innovative in-car experiences.

Responsibilities

• Concevoir et maintenir des composants et des flux Android fiables en utilisant des technologies modernes comme Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborer étroitement avec les concepteurs UX/UI, les chefs de produit et les ingénieurs en logiciel de véhicule pour lancer des expériences innovantes dans la voiture.

• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring other engineers

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Android application development, including testing, maintaining, and launching features

7+ years of professional software development experience

• Proven ability to design and implement significant features or components independently
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, and a strong understanding of Android internals
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Android platform (AOSP) development, custom Android builds, or embedded systems
• A passion for pixel-perfect UI and creating fluid user experiences
• Knowledge of in-car infotainment systems or automotive software development

Preferred

• Full-stack experience, including designing and integrating with server-side APIs to support client features
• Experience with performance analysis and optimization for resource-constrained devices
