Senior Cloud Networking Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Cloud Networking Engineer, where you will design, manage, and troubleshoot complex interconnected systems in hybrid environments. You will play a crucial role in improving communication between the operational and developmental sides of the software development process. Your main duties will include configuring compute resources, troubleshooting performance issues, planning compute architecture, and testing new ideas. You will also manage traditional networking equipment, troubleshoot a broad range of problems, and ensure the efficiency of our cloud systems.

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate would be able to function as a troubleshooter and communicator to a variety of different professional audiences
• Troubleshoot code and improve performance, particularly in Kubernetes and Terraform settings

Participates in an on-call rotation

• Able to assist customers with Networking and system troubleshooting in order to resolve robotic system issues
• Experience with multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking
• Juniper / Cisco / Palo Alto / Zscaler

Requirements

• The person in this role will be able to move smoothly between networking, compute hardware, infrastructure as code, cloud and kubernetes environments
• Terraform, Kustomize, shell scripting and/or python
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Linux, Kubernetes -- operating system administration

Experience in creation of highly automated infrastructure

• Demonstrated competence with Linux Systems Engineering, Networking and Infrastructure as code
• Lead global deployments, giving special attention to Kubernetes, Terraform, Juniper networking, and TCP/IP
• Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
• Technical knowledge in several of the following:
• DevOps engineer: 3 years
• Linux, Docker and Kubernetes: 3 years
• AWS or GCP: 1 year
• Networking: 3-5 years
