Senior Software Engineer

Join Roku as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will research, design, and develop computer and network software programs. You will build tools and platform capabilities to empower our programming operations team, create user experiences that drive content workflows, and optimize our web application platform. You will participate in the Agile development process and be responsible for completing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs, focusing on building tools and platform capabilities for programming operations.
• Code, test, document, and deliver scalable and reliable platform services and components that create the foundation of the core web application platform.
• Participate in the Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance, and support.
• Object-oriented design paradigm

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3 years of experience in the position or a related occupation
• HTML, CSS, and Java
• Database/Storage Systems DynamoDB, S3, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Full Stack Web Development using JavaScript frameworks React, NodeJS, TypeScript, and React Native

Algorithms & Data Structures

• Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in the following:
• Cloud Computing & Infrastructure technologies AWS Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, etc
