Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Go)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deliver scalable and secure backend systems for digital banking solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence by focusing on code quality, system reliability, observability, and performance, and take end-to-end ownership of systems.
• Contribute to and guide architectural decisions and the long-term technical strategy within the team, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
• A thoughtful communicator and problem-solver, capable of aligning engineering efforts with business goals

Requirements

• Comfortable working with AI tools, thinking critically about AI outputs, and contributing to a culture of responsible AI use. We expect you to demonstrate comfort with AI-assisted workflows and a willingness to continuously develop their AI capabilities as the technology evolves
• Strong experience building and operating cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS, or Azure
• The ability to drive cross-functional initiatives while balancing technical and product priorities
• Proven experience building scalable products with Java or Golang
• Demonstrated ownership of complex systems, with a mindset for operational excellence
• Strong experience building and operating distributed systems, with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and maintainability
• A solid understanding of security best practices for backend and cloud-based services

EUR 80,000 - 95,000
