Senior Software Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will develop and implement new features and algorithms for our core engine, increase the reliability and performance of existing components, and mentor your teammates. You will work with modern C++ and have a significant background in database internals or building core components for large-scale data processing systems.

• Develop and implement new features and algorithms for the core engine, focusing on query optimization and transaction management.
• Analyze and understand performance and scalability bottlenecks in the system, and implement solutions to address them.
• Mentor and grow teammates, set an example for best practices in database usage and end-to-end architecture.

• Have an analytical mind and a good understanding of complex data structures and algorithms in data management
• BS in Computer science; Masters or Ph.D. preferred
• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Have a curiosity about how things work and a desire to improve them
• Significant background in database internals or building core components (query optimization, query execution, storage engines, transaction processing) for large-scale data processing systems (e.g., Starrocks, ClickHouse, etc)
• Experienced in programming with C++ (17)
