Join Kolibri Games as a Senior Unity Developer in our Core Game Tech Team. You'll be responsible for designing and building shared systems for multiple live games, driving third-party integrations, advising game teams on technical decisions, and delivering compliance and privacy features. Enjoy a hybrid work setup, modern office space, health and fitness bonus, 30 days of holiday, fun social events, relocation support, learning budget, and company holidays.
Responsibilities
- Design and build shared systems for multiple live games, focusing on dynamic events and scheduled content.
- Drive third-party integrations, evaluate and integrate SDKs, and manage SDK and Unity version upgrades.
- Advise game teams as their technical counterpart, driving standardization and winning adoption of shared solutions.
Requirements
- If you like being the person who takes on the technical problems other teams can't, and you don't shy away from constantly diving into new unknowns, learning new skills and driving topics forward, this role is for you
- Strong written and spoken communication, and the credibility to make teams you don't sit with want to adopt your solutions
- You have a wide understanding of how Unity works, you are familiar with native implementations, understand backend interactions, and performance investigations are your bread and butter. The most important skill is to be able to jump into the unknown and get familiar
- (Ideally 5+ years of professional) Software development experience in C# and Unity3D. Experience in non-gaming contexts is also relevant; we value your expertise, so do not hesitate to apply
- Ability to plan, communicate, and execute technical solutions in a way that is both understandable for other developers as well as non technical stakeholders
- Ability to derive requirements yourself from ambiguous or external sources — regulation, platform policy, vendor documentation — rather than working from a written spec
- Experience building libraries, packages, APIs or tooling that other developers consume, and an instinct for what makes them adoptable
- A genuine appetite for constantly learning new areas of the stack
- Experience debugging below the C# layer into Android and iOS platform code, and profiling performance on mobile
- Exposure to compliance, privacy or platform policy work — GDPR, CMP, age assurance, ATT or similar
- Familiarity with reactive or async programming and dependency injection frameworks, e.g. UniRx, Zenject, UniTask
- A passion for games and an understanding of the mobile market, like F2P and LiveOps
- Familiarity with Firebase Crashlytics and an understanding of ANRs
Preferred
- Strong familiarity with using LLMs in different areas of game development to support your efforts and achieve stronger results
