Senior Accountant

Join Forter, a leading technology company, as a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will manage general accounting operations, support month-end and quarterly financial close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP). You will collaborate cross-functionally, prepare and review payroll journal entries, manage key payroll-related accounts, and drive process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Manage general accounting operations and provide support for month-end and quarterly financial close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP).
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization, supporting consolidated GAAP and statutory entity level audits.

• The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and consistently meet tight deadlines
• This person must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate across our global team
• Proficiency with HRIS, Commission, and Accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, CIQ, ADP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is a plus
• A strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a high level of integrity
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or SaaS company with a combination of both private and public company experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to embrace AI to support day to day tasks and responsibilities; experience using AI is a plus
