Join Burq as a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer, where you'll take ownership of problems end to end and raise the bar for the team around you. You'll build APIs, integrations, and product surfaces that enterprise retailers use to run delivery through Burq. This high-impact role requires a strong ownership mindset, experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, and a comfort with SQL and NoSQL databases. You'll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers, and use AI tools daily to enhance your work.

Responsibilities

  • Assumer la responsabilité de la conception, de la mise en œuvre et de la livraison de fonctionnalités complexes à travers les services backend et les applications web.

  • Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript on the backend
  • Solid experience designing and building REST APIs and microservices

Requirements

  • Experience building web applications with React or a similar modern framework
  • A strong ownership mindset: you take problems from ambiguous to done, follow through without being chased, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just tickets
  • Comfortable with SQL and NoSQL databases and with building on AWS
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and owning production systems
  • Clear, direct communicator who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers
  • AI-native: you actively and fluently use AI tools (Claude, Unblocked, etc.) in your daily work and adopt new tooling quickly
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs, including webhooks, authentication, and handling failures gracefully

Preferred

Experience with delivery, logistics, or marketplace platforms

  • Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Temporal) or event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)
  • Experience with enterprise integrations and security requirements (SSO, IP allowlisting, audit logging)
