Senior Software Engineer (Native Mobile)

Join Coinbase as a Senior Software Engineer, Native Mobile. You will be part of the App Infra team, responsible for rewriting the retail mobile app from React Native to native Swift and Kotlin. Your expertise in iOS or Android will help build core app surfaces, contribute to the design of Coinbase's native mobile workflow, and lay the foundation for the future mobile platform. You will also drive performance optimization and contribute to the dual-app parity strategy during the transition period.

Responsibilities

• Contribuer à la conception et à la mise en œuvre de surfaces d'application essentielles en Swift et Kotlin, en traduisant les flux React Native existants en implémentations natives performantes.
• Accélérer le travail des autres ingénieurs Frontend chez Coinbase en définissant des modèles architecturaux, en améliorant les vitesses de construction et en définissant des flux de développement optimaux.

• Uses generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable gains in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
• Demonstrated ability to build and ship performant mobile applications with a focus on frame stability, cold start optimization, and responsive UI across diverse device populations
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release processes, with a track record of delivering project-level outcomes that compound beyond the immediate cycle

Requirements

• Proficiency in Swift or Kotlin with working knowledge of the other, and willingness to develop cross-platform fluency, as engineers on this team own both iOS and Android
• 5+ years of iOS or Android mobile software engineering experience (Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android)
