Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for building core data models, governed semantic layers, and data pipelines necessary for enterprise-level reporting and dashboards. You will champion data literacy, governance, and adoption across the business, leading the design and development of analytical data assets, centralized semantic layers, and interactive BI solutions. This role will support strategic decisions and operational performance monitoring across all functional areas.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Expert-level SQL programming skills

• Proven understanding or experience in data governance practices, including metric standardization, data quality enforcement, and access control
• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT
• A solid understanding of complex relational data structures and modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
• A proactive and relentless approach to problem solving. You are comfortable seeking information independently, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results
• Advanced proficiency in designing and constructing dashboards utilizing data visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent
• Extensive experience in data architecture and dimensional modeling (star / snowflake schemas), with practical experience or strong familiarity in implementing semantic layers to support self-service analytics
• A strong and confident communication style. You can listen, empathize and consult with stakeholders actively, and you can take something complex and difficult and make it easy to digest
