Senior Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• In order to take on this mission we’re building our applications on modern web technologies around HTML/CSS/Javascript/React, NodeJS/Typescript, PostgreSQL, Amazon Lambdas and Kinesis etc. You should be comfortable in contributing to every part of the stack: from UI to API development, to complex integrations with financial institutions and partners, and building infrastructure, but you will be expected to be focused mostly on backend development

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong backend development background

Passion for technology and a continuous learner mindset

• Someone who isn't afraid of responsibility, a good sense of humor and a down-to-earth personality
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience

Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Strong fundamental understanding of relational Databases (Postgresql, Mysql)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus

Motivated to leverage new AI tools and technologies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Able to model and design intuitive and scalable schemas
• Proven experience on building backend services with high availability and scalability requirements
• Strong experience with Javascript, Typescript and Node.js
• Experience with agile/scrum development methodologies
