Software Engineer (Mobile SDK)

Join our WARP Mobile SDK team as a Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will define the client architecture and public APIs for native iOS and Android SDKs, establish foundations that are testable and well-documented, and set standards for compatibility, diagnostics, performance, and release quality across mobile platforms.
• You will work closely with product and engineering partners, mentor native mobile engineers, and help resolve complex customer integration issues.

• Establishing standards for compatibility, diagnostics, performance, and release quality across mobile platforms, and mentoring native mobile engineers.
• Collaborating with product and engineering partners to turn security problems into dependable developer products, and resolving complex customer integration issues.
• Understanding of mobile package distribution, source and binary compatibility, dependency management, and reliable release practices
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising a team's technical bar through design review, code review, and knowledge sharing
• Experience designing or owning customer-distributed SDKs, libraries, or similarly constrained developer-facing products

Requirements

• You will be successful in this role if you combine strong native engineering judgment and a track record of carrying distributed software from design through production operation
• Experience diagnosing production issues that cross application, SDK, network, and service boundaries, while designing safe diagnostics that do not expose sensitive data
• Deep experience building production software for either iOS with Swift or Android with Kotlin, and enough familiarity with the other ecosystem to guide shared architectural decisions
• Experience writing technical designs and aligning decisions across product, client, backend, edge, and security teams
• Experience with mobile platform security concepts, including app and device integrity, secure key storage, application signing, authentication, and secure communications
• Familiarity with native mobile networking stacks, HTTP APIs, and the integration challenges introduced by different application architectures and networking libraries
• Empathetic, proactive, and constructive written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to operate within strict mobile performance budgets, including binary size, battery use, startup time, and main-thread overhead
• Familiarity with how native SDKs are consumed by cross-platform frameworks such as React Native and Flutter is a plus

• Familiarity with lower-level languages like C++ or Rust for high-performance, cross-platform security modules is a plus
