FP&A Manager

Fortera Global

Join Fortera, a company focused on sustainability and innovation. As an FP&A Manager, you will play a crucial role in building the financial planning and reporting foundation for the company's growth. You will lead the annual operating budget process, build forecasts, and develop capital project budgets. You will also prepare monthly reporting packages, support executive presentations, and establish standardized templates and timelines for budget requests. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual operating budget process across departments, build and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts, and consolidate departmental inputs into a full company P&L.
  • Develop and maintain detailed capital project budgets by project, phase, and cost category, track committed costs, actual spend, forecast to complete, and total project cost.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for leadership, support executive presentations for leadership, the board, investors, and lenders, and build short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical judgment. You know when a number looks wrong, and you chase it down before anyone asks
  • Experience owning a budgeting or forecasting process across multiple departments or stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling ability. You can build a budget or forecast model from a blank sheet, and you can explain and defend every assumption in it
  • Able to communicate and work closely with technical teams, including R&D and engineering, and build a working understanding of the company's technology and production process
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and sound financial judgment
  • Comfort with ambiguity. We're a scaling company. You can take a loosely defined question, scope it yourself, know what questions to ask, and come back with a structured answer
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical role
  • Comfortable with AI and have incorporated it into your work
  • Experience building FP&A processes and systems in a scaling or growth-stage company
  • Experience preparing budget, forecast, or diligence materials for lenders, investors, or a board
  • Experience supporting capital project financing, draw requests, or lender reporting
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable ERP system
  • Experience with capital project budgeting or project finance in a capital-intensive industry such as manufacturing, industrials, energy, or infrastructure
