Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer

• Join our team as a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer, where you will lead the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure for our data center facilities.
• You will be responsible for executing electrical engineering design tasks, developing innovative design solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design efforts and review consultant work to ensure electrical systems meet performance standards.
• Execute electrical engineering design tasks for new data center facilities, including build-to-suit and tenant fit-out projects.
• Coordinate closely with third-party consultants, vendors, and internal project teams to ensure complete and cohesive designs.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with large-scale, high-density data centers and cloud infrastructure
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineering license preferred
• Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future
• Proven track record of successfully completing data center design projects
• Be familiar with Emergency Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems with the ability to develop controls sequences and monitoring protocols
• 7+ years of experience in data center engineering
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems, such as Substations, Emergency Generators, Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), Lithium-Ion Battery Plants and Fire Alarm

Preferred

• Professional certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI, or similar) are a plus
