Join Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, as a Staff Software Engineer in Platform Acceleration. In this role, you will own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, design and build tools to help teams ship code faster, and measure developer experience and adoption. You will work closely with other Anthropic engineers and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of safe and beneficial AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, ensuring the hardest problems are solved.
  • Design, build, and operate the tools that help Platform teams ship code faster, including tooling that holds the bar for trust.
  • Embed with partner teams to identify their biggest sources of friction, validate solutions, and turn fixes into products.

Requirements

  • Experience leading large, complex technical projects across teams, from an ambiguous problem to a tool people use
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration
  • Experience building and operating large-scale backend services or distributed systems in production

Proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or TypeScript

  • Clear written and verbal communication, with experience supporting internal partner teams
  • Deep experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, test infrastructure, or deployment systems

Experience working in a large monorepo

  • Enough full-stack ability to put a usable interface on your tools
  • Substantial experience with agents that do engineering or other technical work
  • Experience at a startup or on a similarly small team, taking a product from zero to one and talking directly to your users

Preferred

  • Experience building widely adopted CLI tools, developer-facing services, GitHub automation, or open source developer tools
  • Depth in progressive delivery, observability, VM orchestration, sandboxed execution, or workflow orchestration
