Join Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, as an IT Systems Engineer focused on mergers and acquisitions. In this hands-on engineering role, you will be responsible for assessing the IT environment of acquired companies, defining technical integration plans, and executing the integration process. You will work closely with various teams, including Security, Corporate Development, Legal, People, and Finance. Additionally, you will contribute to core Corporate Systems projects when M&A work is light.
Responsibilities
- Lead the IT side of Anthropic's acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution.
- Define the technical integration plan and its requirements, and carry out that plan to bring the acquired company's systems onto Anthropic's stack.
- Build a repeatable IT M&A playbook and automate as much of it as possible with Claude, contributing to the team's roadmap.
- Experience administering enterprise identity and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and an SSO provider, and working code in Python or similar against their SaaS APIs
Requirements
- Comfort working autonomously, with ambiguity and confidential information
- A proven ability to understand an unfamiliar IT environment quickly and deliver a prioritized view of risk to non-specialists
- Clear communication with executives, legal and corporate development teams, and engineers at acquired companies
- 8+ years as a hands-on engineer in corporate IT. You have designed and shipped systems, carried out migrations or integrations yourself, and owned at least one area end-to-end, with experience supporting other areas: identity, applications, endpoints, or corporate infrastructure
- Working knowledge of endpoint management and security concepts, enough to lead diligence on an unfamiliar fleet
- A record of leading technical projects that span several teams and run to a fixed date, while doing much of the engineering yourself
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed
- Prior M&A, carve-out, or company-to-company migration experience
- Experience across the full stack: endpoints, systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Experience working in or alongside a security team
- A record of building tooling that replaces manual IT work
Preferred
- Hands-on experience managing a device fleet or running an MDM
Pay
USD 325,000 - 360,000
Benefits
- Using Claude or similar tools as a core part of how you work
