Shield AI as a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, where you will provide technical expertise and support to customers during the implementation and use of our enterprise software products. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and ensure successful product integration for AI & Autonomy development.

Responsibilities

  • This role involves developing AI & Autonomy applications, deploying Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites, providing technical training, and assisting customers with software/API integration issues.
  • You will also collaborate with product and engineering teams, maintain technical documentation, and assist the sales team with complex technical queries.
  • Travel to customer sites is required (~30% travel).
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers during the implementation and use of Shield AI enterprise software products.
  • Develop AI & Autonomy applications using Hivemind for unmanned platforms across air/sea/land/space, and deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to address customer feedback and improve products, and assist the sales team in answering complex technical queries from customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 7+ years of industry experience or
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong technical background in software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in writing modern C++ code
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Prior experience as a customer-facing solutions engineer, application engineer, or sales engineer
  • Experience in the defense, aviation, autonomy, or robotics industry
  • Advanced technical degree, especially in robotics or autonomy related fields
