We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Automation Engineer to join one of our teams - Bluebeam

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain automated UI, API, integration, regression and end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript;
  • Build and improve scalable automation frameworks, shared utilities, fixtures, test-data helpers and reporting solutions;
  • Own quality automation for assigned product areas - identify test gaps and choose the right automation approach for critical user workflows;
  • Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, QA and DevOps to define testable requirements and spot automation opportunities early;
  • Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions and/or GitLab CI/CD pipelines and improve their stability, speed and reporting;
  • Investigate failed builds and test runs on your own, analysing logs, network requests, API responses, browser traces and application data to find root causes;
  • Write SQL queries to validate backend state, verify data integrity and manage test data across environments;
  • Take an active part in pull-request reviews of test code, application changes, testability and automation design;
  • Use AI coding agents (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) responsibly to speed up test development and failure diagnosis, while reviewing, validating and owning the final output;
  • Contribute to shared automation standards, documentation and coding conventions across the Quality Engineering team;
  • Communicate progress, risks, defects and blockers clearly to local and US-based stakeholders, and take part in stand-ups, planning, retrospectives and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience in test automation, SDET, software quality engineering or a closely related role;
  • Strong hands-on programming experience with TypeScript and working knowledge of JavaScript;
  • Practical experience with Playwright, including UI and API automation, fixtures, page objects, test-data handling, parallel execution and reporting;
  • Proven experience setting up or significantly improving an automation framework from scratch;
  • Experience building custom test tooling, utilities or integrations beyond standard framework capabilities;
  • Solid experience with REST APIs: HTTP methods, authentication, assertions, negative scenarios and API-driven test-data setup;
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and end-to-end investigation;
  • Experience with Git workflows, pull requests and code review, plus creating or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub and/or GitLab;
  • Ability to debug complex automation failures and tell whether the issue is in the product, test code, data, environment or pipeline;
  • Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding agent (GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar);
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Experience testing web-based SaaS products, distributed systems, enterprise workflows or complex integrations;
  • Knowledge of authentication and identity workflows such as SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM or role-based access control;
  • Familiarity with Docker, cloud-hosted test environments, observability tools and release-management workflows;
  • Experience with performance, contract, accessibility or security testing, or test-data management.

Benefits

  • Work on products used by construction professionals worldwide, and build cloud solutions that transform how they manage projects and collaborate globally;
  • Hybrid work model;
  • Access to conferences, training programs, and self-learning platforms;
  • Supportive environment where your ideas matter and technical excellence is valued;
  • Shape your role and grow within a 450+ person organisation with 25+ years of software excellence;
  • Diverse internal events and activities to build relationships across teams;
  • Comprehensive benefits and financial compensation.
  • We’re looking for people with creative minds and enthusiasm to join us in developing what’s new, what’s next, and what best serves our customers’ needs.
  • Ready to make an impact in software development? We’d be happy to welcome you to our team.
