Litigation Paralegal

A well-regarded boutique construction law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join its team in Henderson, NV. You’ll support construction litigation and arbitration matters from filing through trial, with a billable requirement well below big-firm levels. Pay is $65,000-$80,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What You’ll Do as the Senior Litigation Paralegal:

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys on construction litigation and arbitration matters from case opening through resolution
• Prepare and file documents electronically in court, and manage e-filing deadlines
• Prepare and record liens, and coordinate with county recording and assessor offices
• Prepare discovery templates, draft discovery documents, and organize discovery materials

Finalize briefs, motions, and exhibits for filing

• Track and manage court and calendaring deadlines across a busy caseload
• Communicate directly with opposing counsel and their staff on scheduling, discovery, and case logistics
• Help prepare for arbitrations and trials, including exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders
• Maintain organized case files and support the attorneys with whatever the caseload requires
• Take on more responsibility as you grow with the team
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally 5 or more

Familiarity with Nevada law and Nevada court procedures

• Strong command of the litigation process, including e-filing, discovery, and calendaring
• Comfort communicating directly with opposing counsel and their paralegals
• Exceptional attention to detail and deadline management
• Nice-to-Haves as the Senior Litigation Paralegal:
• Paralegal certificate or degree (strongly preferred)
• Experience preparing and recording mechanic’s liens

Requirements

• Ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple attorneys and matters
• Ability to work primarily in the Henderson, NV office
• Experience working with county recorder and assessor offices
• Relativity experience
• Experience at a larger litigation firm

• Construction litigation experience
• Arbitration experience
• Trial preparation experience

Pay

Base salary of $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience

• An annual discretionary bonus, typically 5-10% of salary, with generous rewards in strong years
• A reasonable billable requirement of about 1,350-1,400 hours per year
