Love HR? Curious about people, employment law and what makes businesses tick? This could be the role you've been looking for.
We're looking for a bright, enthusiastic and resourceful HR Co-ordinator to join our HR team at Cintra HR & Payroll Services in our Milton Keynes office.
But let's be clear from the outset, this isn't your typical HR administration role!
Yes, there will be some administration (it's HR, after all!), but this is a role with real variety, genuine responsibility and plenty of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills.
One day you might be supporting a recruitment campaign, interviewing candidates or working with a hiring manager. The next, you could be researching an employment law question, helping a client implement new HR policies, undertaking a salary benchmarking exercise or coordinating an important HR project.
You'll work closely with our experienced HR Advisers, HR Administration team and Director of HR, gaining exposure to a fascinating range of businesses, industries and people challenges.
If you're someone who loves learning, enjoys solving problems and gets real satisfaction from doing things properly, we'd love to hear from you.
About Payroll Software & Services Group
- No two weeks are likely to look quite the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- And, because we're a busy and evolving HR function, there will undoubtedly be other interesting things to get involved in along the way!
- At Cintra, our HR team supports businesses across a wide variety of sectors, providing practical, professional and commercially sensible HR advice and support.
- That means you'll gain exposure to far more than you might in a traditional in-house HR role.
Responsibilities
- From creating compelling job adverts and screening candidates to working with hiring managers and coordinating onboarding.
- Helping deliver initiatives for both Cintra and our clients, including policy implementation, salary benchmarking and workplace risk assessments.
- Researching employment law and HR best practice, supporting our HR Advisers and helping develop accurate, practical HR documentation.
- Coordinating onboarding activities, supporting policy implementation and helping clients access the HR services and resources they need.
- Taking ownership of our HR document register, keeping resources accurate and up to date, and spotting opportunities to improve the way we work.
- Coordinating client communications, webinars and training activities that keep businesses informed and supported.
Requirements
- We're less interested in someone who can simply tick boxes and more interested in how you think, how you work and what motivates you.
You'll probably recognise yourself in the following
- You're genuinely interested in HR.
- Not just the processes, but the people, the legislation, the challenges and the thinking behind good HR practice.
- You're bright and curious.
- You ask good questions, enjoy researching things and want to understand the why, not just the what
- You're resourceful.
- When faced with something unfamiliar, your instinct is to investigate, think it through and find a sensible way forward.
- You've got a great eye for detail.
- Accuracy matters to you. You take pride in producing work that's well thought through, clearly written and right first time.
- You're a confident communicator.
- You can write well, speak professionally and build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- You're organised and dependable.
- You can juggle different priorities, meet deadlines and take ownership of your work.
- You've got initiative.
- You don't need to be told every little thing to do — you're comfortable taking responsibility, while knowing when to ask for guidance.
- You're keen to develop.
- You see this as an opportunity to build a rewarding career in HR, not simply as your next job.
- We're looking for someone with an CIPD Level 5 qualification (or higher), perhaps even an HR degree, together with a sound understanding of UK employment law fundamentals.
- You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in an HR environment would certainly be useful, but we're equally interested in someone at an earlier stage of their career who has the right knowledge, aptitude, attitude and enthusiasm.
- We can help you develop your experience. What we can't teach is genuine curiosity, initiative and pride in your work
Why Join Cintra?
- And importantly, there's a genuine career pathway here, with opportunities to progress into HR Advisory and Employee Relations roles as your skills develop.
- Our current HR Co-ordinator has thoroughly enjoyed the variety, responsibility and opportunities the role has offered, and we're looking for someone equally enthusiastic to make it their own.
- Sound like you?
- If you're looking for a role where you can use your brain, develop your HR expertise, make a real contribution and work with a team who genuinely care about what they do, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay
£28,000 - £32,000 / year
Benefits
