Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Store Manager in leading and motivating the team to deliver excellent service and achieve sales targets.
• Setting high standards for customer experience and ensuring these are consistently met.
• Driving sales by coaching the team on product knowledge, selling techniques, and service excellence.
• Overseeing merchandising standards to keep the store well-presented and commercially strong.
• Assisting with staff training and development, helping the team grow their skills and knowledge.
• Supporting inventory management including stock levels, restocking, and accuracy checks.
• Overseeing cash handling procedures and store operations, including opening and closing duties.
• Promoting a safe, compliant, and well-organised store environment.
• Gathering customer feedback and sharing ideas to improve store performance.
• Carrying out administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting as required.

About You

Previous retail management or supervisory experience (cycling or sporting goods experience is a bonus). Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Passionate about customer service with excellent communication skills. Sales-driven, with experience meeting and exceeding sales targets. Knowledge and enthusiasm for cycling products is highly desirable. Organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Computer-literate and confident with administrative tasks. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts in line with store hours.
