Responsibilities

Support for continuing education and additional BPI certifications

• Opportunities to advance into Lead Technician, Crew Leader, and advanced diagnostic roles
• Receive company-sponsored support for additional BPI certifications as you expand your skills.
• Dover, NJ, serving residential job sites throughout North and Central New Jersey.
• Conduct blower door and combustion safety testing to measure air leakage, guide air sealing, and verify post-work performance.
• Identify and seal air leaks at attic bypasses, top plates, rim joists, chases, and complex penetrations.
• Install and oversee insulation applications, including blown cellulose, fiberglass batts, dense pack, rigid board, and spray foam.
• Assist with the setup, deployment, and monitoring of AeroBarrier and Aeroseal installations.
• Assess moisture, ventilation, and structural conditions while performing combustion safety testing within the scope of your BPI certification.
• Document pre- and post-work measurements, capture accurate photos, and submit field data in accordance with utility program and BPI standards.
• Direct crew activities to ensure proper installation and quality workmanship.
• Educate homeowners on completed improvements while maintaining a professional presence in their homes.

Requirements

What's in it for You?

• Use building science, diagnostic testing, AeroBarrier, and Aeroseal to deliver measurable energy efficiency improvements.
• Proven field experience with diagnostic testing equipment and hands-on building envelope remediation.
• Strong understanding of building science and the house-as-a-system approach.
• Ability to safely work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Dover, NJ shop.

Preferred

• Qualifications Active BPI certifications such as Building Analyst Technician (BA-T), Building Analyst Professional (BA-P), Envelope Professional, Air Leakage Control Installer, or Infiltration & Duct Leakage.
• Experience working with New Jersey utility programs, including Comfort Partners, NJ Clean Energy, or Home Performance with ENERGY STAR.
• Hands-on experience operating Duct Blaster systems, Aeroseal, or AeroBarrier.

Pay

$20 to $30 per hour, based on certifications and experience
