Payment Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Payment Operations Specialist to support day-to-day operational processes while ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and smooth transaction processing in line with defined SLAs. This role also serves as a key control point in the workflow, handling complex cases, managing escalations, and supporting team performance, while contributing to continuous operational improvements
Execute end-to-end operational tasks with minimal supervision
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of operational processes
Handle complex reconciliation and exception cases
Investigate and resolve operational issues, including root cause analysis
Monitor SLA performance, queue health, and sub-team productivity
Act as the escalation point for operational issues

2–3 years of experience in operations, finance operations, or similar roles
Prior experience in handling transactions, reconciliations, or supervisory tasks is preferred
Basic data analysis skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or SQL)
Strong understanding of operational processes and reconciliation flows
Familiarity with tools such as Metabase, Jira, Trello, or similar workflow management systems (preferred)
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
Leadership skills with experience managing or guiding small teams
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
Strategic thinking for short-term operational improvements
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
