Live Director

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled live sports events to ensure accurate and timely broadcast
• Monitor and perform quality control of all incoming and outgoing signals
• Load, prepare, and transmit daily playout schedules for various channels
• Ensure all scheduled media is ready and liaise with relevant teams for any discrepancies

Provide technical support for transmission services and equipment

• Proactively identify potential broadcast issues and plan for rapid resolution
• Maintain communication with internal and external production stakeholders

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a live broadcast transmission environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a live operations setting
• Proven track record in delivering live sports content under tight deadlines
• Technical knowledge of broadcast automation systems and workflows
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Calm and focused approach to problem-solving under pressure

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of broadcast rules and regulations and compliance requirements.
• Familiar with Media Genix What’s On planning system.
• Microsoft Office, Teams and general software skills.

What you'll bring

• Familiarity with OTT transmission or IP-based delivery systems is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with Amagi Cloud TX Automation System.
