Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with key personnel within VWSA.
• Manage chemical stock on a daily basis and filling of dosing tanks.
• Daily Water Meter readings and record these.
• Daily Water Chemistry Testing of Effluent Batches and Cooling Towers.
• Ensure all sites comply with Health, Safety and Quality requirements of Company.
• Track and complete Visual Workplace information as required.
• Perform daily treatment on Sludge Dams.
• Monitor and report on Potable water quality.
• Perform problem solving and repairs as required.

Requirements

• B - Tech degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Analytical Chemistry.
• Must be physically fit.
• Self-disciplined.
• A strong leader and have the ability to mentor junior consultants.
• Proven track record of working effectively in remote team settings , demonstrating flexibility, and contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.

If you possess… Must-Have

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1 to 5 years' experience in a similar environment.
• Thorough, accurate and detail oriented. Strong relationship builder.
• If you are… Able to tackle complex problems effectively and adapt to fast-paced development environments.

Analytical and a Problem-Solving person

Exceptional ability to analyse complex requirements, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise effective solutions. Strong debugging skills to efficiently resolve issues in the development process.
