Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design, analysis, and project delivery from concept through completion.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, calculations, reports, estimates, permits, and construction documents.
• Provide technical direction, engineering judgment, and QA/QC for project deliverables.
• Direct AutoCAD Civil 3D design and production efforts, including base mapping, utility research, conflict identification, and plan preparation for civil, water, utility, and natural gas pipeline projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and sign/seal documents as required.
• Lead and mentor project teams while coordinating with clients, consultants, agencies, utilities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, client coordination, and successful delivery.
• Support proposals, fee development, technical approaches, presentations, and business development activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound engineering judgment, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality work. Assist with proposals, scopes of work, fee development, technical approaches, and business development activities as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Current Arizona PE license required. 5–10+ years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience. Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills. Experience with civil infrastructure projects, particularly water, utilities, natural gas, municipal, drainage, or site development. Strong technical judgment, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to balance hands-on engineering with project management, client service, and mentoring.
