Senior Software Engineer I - Business Onboarding and Verification

Responsibilities

• You will design and build reliable, scalable systems supporting business onboarding and verification across Europe and the UK.
• Build and improve systems for verifying businesses, owners, directors and other associated parties.
• Automate information collection, verification and decision-making to reduce onboarding time and manual work.
• Create flexible onboarding journeys that adapt to different markets, business types and regulatory requirements.
• Develop effective controls and monitoring to manage financial-crime and compliance risks with minimal customer friction.
• Own projects end to end, from problem discovery and technical design through to delivery and measuring impact.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Operations and other engineering teams while maintaining high standards for reliability, testing and code quality.

What will you be doing

A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points Experience of Java or other JVM based language, experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems Experience with machine learning basics (data pipelines, feature engineering, recall/precision, familiarity with machine learning systems in production) is a huge plus Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development
