Loads Engineer - Flight Physics - 1 year Fixed Term

Responsibilities

• Load calculations used for sizing study of future aircrafts or for major MODs. For a start, determination of component loads (calculation of the loads on specifics parts) and could be in the future::

Ground loads (Landings, Brakings, Turns, Rollings, …)

• Flight loads (Longitudinal and Lateral Manoeuvres, Load Alleviation Functions, Gust, Failure cases …)
• Aeroelastics calculation (Flutter calculations, control surfaces limit cycle oscillations)

Requirements

• \* Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree
• Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, Aerodynamics
• Know the behavior of an airplane, to have physical sense
• Coding: Python (mandatory)

Tools: Matlab

• \* Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules
• \* Pay attention to details
• \* Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
• \* Team spirit with a capacity to interact with multicultural teams

Description

In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Loads Engineer to join our growing team for initially a 12m fixed term contract.
