Data Platform Consultant (DBT)

Responsibilities

• You’ll play a central role in designing and delivering data transformations that power a high‑visibility project. You’ll work closely with project leads, project managers, and senior engineers to ship quality outcomes with increasing autonomy.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex data models using dbt Core to support various business functions.
• Build and manage scalable data transformation pipelines within Snowflake, ensuring high performance and cost-efficiency.
• Optimize Snowflake compute and storage by managing clustering keys, materialized views, and efficient SQL querying.
• Demonstrating holistic project understanding - how your work fits the wider data flow and business goals

Requirements

• We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of experience, curiosity, and collaboration.

Code Quality

Implement software engineering best practices in the data stack, including version control (Git), modularity, and CI/CD.

Testing & Documentation

Ensure data integrity by writing robust dbt tests and maintaining comprehensive documentation via dbt docs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Data Analysts and Business Leads to translate business requirements into technical data schemas.

In your first 3–6 months, success might look like

• Delivering the majority of your assigned work independently, to a high standard (quality + on‑time)
• Building healthy working relationships across the India team and, over time, with UK stakeholders

DBT

• Deep understanding of Snowflake-specific features such as Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe, and Zero-copy cloning.
