Manage global payroll projects from planning through implementation, testing, go-live and operational handover.
Support payroll integration following acquisitions, including process reviews, data migration and provider transitions.
Deliver payroll vendor implementations, migrations and consolidation projects.
Coordinate payroll system implementations and integrations with HR, Finance, benefits, time and attendance, and banking systems.
Improve payroll processes, controls and payment methods, using technology, automation and AI where they can make a meaningful difference.
Support compliance and IPO readiness by documenting processes and controls, coordinating audit requests and tracking actions through to completion.
Work closely with Payroll, People, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Technology and external providers to resolve issues and keep delivery on track.
Maintain clear project plans, milestones and risk logs, provide regular updates and escalate issues when decisions or support are needed.
Be an individual contributor owning this area as part of the global payroll team.
Key Responsibilities
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience delivering global or multi-country payroll projects, particularly system implementations, vendor changes or acquisition integrations.
Strong project management skills and the ability to turn complex requirements into practical delivery plans.
A good understanding of payroll processes, compliance, controls and payments.
Confidence working across teams, managing external providers and influencing stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes.
A hands-on, organised approach, with strong problem-solving skills and clear communication.
An interest in using technology, automation and AI to improve payroll operations.
Experience coordinating audits, working with HMRC or other authorities, or supporting IPO readiness and SOX compliance would be an advantage.
