Trading Engineer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and providing quick response to production issues but more importantly solving the root cause of problems in a structural way.
• Helping eliminate downtime using open source technologies where appropriate, translating trading requests into concrete technical requirements, and working with focus teams to create and implement new sustainable solutions.
• Coordinate, prioritise and plan the changes to our trading software to ensure smooth exchange or infrastructure migrations and quick time to market for new features and software.
• Working closely with developers to implement python changes to improve system reliability, stability and monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes concepts, working with helm and debugging deployed workloads
• Comfort working with Prometheus and Grafana
• Solid understanding of the Linux Operating System
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols
• A knack for troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with database querying and working with large scale data sets is a plus

Your Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of experience as an SRE or System Engineer or DevOps Engineer or MLOps Engineer
• Development experience (Python preferable but not required) and solid understanding of common scripting tools including Bash
• Experience with building and maintaining ETLs and DAGs (Airflow) is a plus
• A proactive attitude and a strong drive to learn, develop yourself and get things done
• An interest in financial markets and working with financial concepts
