Team Lead (Full-Stack)

Responsibilities

• Define the team’s roadmap, execution strategy, and own delivery outcomes

• Organize team processes (stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions) and track progress
• Collaborate with product and partner teams to scope initiatives and align on priorities

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• and strong technical background
• You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience building full-stack web applications, preferably with JavaScript/TypeScript and Java
• Solid understanding of
• distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
• Strong technical judgment — able to evaluate system design decisions, trade-offs, and engineering approaches

Experience working in

• Skilled at building and growing teams, supporting both senior and junior engineers
• Clear, concise communicator who values transparency and proactive risk management
• Effective stakeholder manager, able to collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams (including US-based partners)
• Comfortable operating in
• dynamic, evolving environments with dependencies across teams
• Proficient in English

Preferred

• Experience in SaaS or product-driven companies
• Exposure to AI/ML-powered systems or data processing platforms
• Experience working with distributed, international teams

Box Extract team is a core part of Box’s AI strategy, focused on transforming unstructured enterprise content (PDFs, contracts, invoices, forms, and more) into structured, actionable data.

You will lead a

Warsaw-based engineering team within the Box Extract organization. This team operates within the application layer, responsible for turning advanced AI capabilities (OCR and LLM-based Extract Agents) into a scalable, customer-facing product.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and grow a engineering team (5–7 engineers) in Poland

Ensure, including planning, estimation, and execution

• Partner with engineers on system design and technical decisions

• Establish a strong, collaborative, and accountable team culture

Represent Box internally and externally
